Sandra Bytzek

After finishing art school and working in the field of commerical graphic design in Toronto, I did not paint seriously again until many years later when my children had grown, and family and other commitments began to lessen. During those years, I continued to be creative in other areas.

When painting, I try to capture the essence of the subject. Whether through an interesing light effect, sense of scale or colour scheme, I ultimately hope that something of what initially drew me to the subject is expressed in the work and conveyed to the viewer.

I enjoy painting with all my fellow artists and the help and inspiration I get from Judy Sherman at her studio in Aurora.
